About Injury Hub

The injury Hub is a sister clinic to the successful Spine Plus Bow clinic. Darren Chandler co-founding director of Spine Plus has dedicated the last 20 years to becoming a leading practitioner in spine care. Wanting to dedicate more of his expertise to treating injury-based pathology he has created the Injury Hub. Having trained as an osteopath, musculoskeletal sonographer and has now gained a diploma in musculoskeletal injections Darren has seen a need with the current NHS waiting lists to help and offer affordable treatments such as knee, shoulder, foot and hand injections to those on long waiting lists on the NHS. The clinic also offers the latest research-based therapies such as shockwave therapy and diathermy for ligament and tendon injuries.

Our continuous training in the most up to date procedures allows us to diagnose and treat complex cases found in elite athletes, professional dancers, runners, cross fitters along with injuries that occur due to everyday wear and tear on the body, or falls and breakages.

Patients have found the London based clinic is essential for their primary care, as well as those seeking second opinion services, which are complemented by our wide network of London’s most eminent interventional radiologists and surgical specialists.

Our immediate scanning service allows us to diagnose and treat accordingly, which has been a great add on to the successful spinal clinic we have run in Bow E3 for so many years.

Our staff are trained in the latest hands on techniques along with a foundation in rehabilitation exercises and electrotherapy. We are dedicated to improving the wellbeing of our patients and treat patients from our local area to people who regularly travel from outer London to attend the clinic.

Darren Chandler - Injury Hub

Darren Chandler

Clinic Director

Darren is the founder of Injury Hub and has been a qualified Osteopath since 2006. With a background as a personal trainer, Darren blends his early roots in physical conditioning with an advanced clinical practice that draws on osteopathy, orthopaedics and physiotherapy. His work as an Orthopaedic Therapist brings together these disciplines to deliver tailored, outcome focused care.

Darren holds postgraduate diplomas in both musculoskeletal sonography and ultrasound-guided injection therapy. He is also trained by the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS), and holds further postgraduate certifications in electrotherapy, diathermy, and shockwave therapy.

Beyond the treatment room, Darren has developed a deep specialism in spinal MRI interpretation and spinal diagnostics. His work over the last 20 years has placed him in the heart of multidisciplinary team meetings and surgical planning sessions, including regular collaboration with some of the UK’s leading radiologists and orthopaedic surgeons from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. This immersion in complex case discussions and operating theatres has shaped Darren’s exceptional diagnostic insight, which is frequently sought out by surgical consultants when planning patient care.

At the core of Darren’s approach is a deep commitment to helping patients recover efficiently and affordably. His clinic runs with the urgency and clarity of a triage centre, diagnose accurately, treat decisively, and avoid unnecessary repeat visits. Darren is proud of the fact that he doesn’t see patients every week unless it’s truly needed. His goal is to get people better, faster. Every patient receives his full attention, and he’s known for giving 110% to each case whether it’s a professional dancer or a local resident managing day-to-day pain.

His clinical philosophy is also built on accessibility. With NHS waiting lists at record highs, Darren created Injury Hub to offer high-quality, affordable alternatives, providing everything from advanced imaging and guided injections to specialist therapies, all under one roof.

Darren’s expertise has earned him invitations as a guest speaker on several TV and radio programmes including Doctor in the House (TalkTV), The Health Show (Talk Radio), ITV Daytime, and The Good Back Guide (Daily Mail). His reputation has made him a go-to clinician for West End performers, actors, musicians, and elite athletes.

A proud East Londoner, Darren spent a decade working in Harley Street before returning to his roots, quite literally. He was born on Vivian Road, the very street where his clinic now stands. This personal connection to the area has only deepened his commitment to serving the East End community with the highest standards of care. He lives locally with his wife and two sons, and outside of clinic life, enjoys golf, skiing, and fishing.

Neil, a highly respected strength and conditioning and rehabilitation coach, boasts over 40 years of experience. He holds two Master’s degrees in Strength & Conditioning and Sports Rehabilitation and is currently in his second year of physiotherapy training. His career has spanned from gym ownership to coaching at professional football clubs, providing him with an unparalleled breadth of expertise in both performance and rehabilitation.

At The Injury Hub, Neil plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between injury and recovery. He has a special interest in complex musculoskeletal rehabilitation, particularly for patients with severe back pain, shoulder injuries, knee problems, and ankle conditions. Neil is widely recognised for his skill in progressive tendon rehabilitation, following the latest research methods (Malliaras et al., 2021; Calder et al., 2021) to guide patients through the often challenging recovery from Achilles tendinopathy.

Neil’s approach is firmly evidence-based. He closely follows the latest research on progressive loading, using a continuum that ranges from low-load strategies like Pilates through to progressive resistance and weight training, depending on each patient’s stage of recovery. This method is supported by growing scientific evidence showing that resistance training is one of the most effective treatments for reducing and resolving chronic low back pain (Steele et al., 2021; O’Sullivan et al., 2019).

By combining his scientific expertise with practical coaching, Neil ensures that every patient benefits from both cutting-edge knowledge and hands-on experience. Working alongside the Injury Hub’s orthopaedic and sports medicine specialists, Neil integrates his rehabilitation strategies into a truly multidisciplinary and evidence-based pathway, giving patients the best possible chance of recovery and long-term success.
