What is MRI Scan and Review
At The Injury Hub, we are proud to offer same-day MRI scans and reviews, providing rapid access to advanced imaging when it is most needed. We are particularly specialised in spinal MRI, an area where precision and detail are critical in reaching an accurate diagnosis. By eliminating long waiting times and uncertainty, we help patients move swiftly from uncertainty to clarity, ensuring that treatment decisions can be made without unnecessary delays.
One of the unique strengths of our service is that all MRI scans for Injury Hub patients are reported by Dr Sajid Butt, one of the UK’s leading consultant musculoskeletal radiologists from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. His expertise in spinal and musculoskeletal imaging is second to none, and we are privileged to have him as part of our extended team. Dr Butt’s reports provide an unparalleled level of detail and insight, allowing us to confidently tailor treatment and rehabilitation plans to each individual patient. His input has also been invaluable in helping our clinical team develop their own interpretative skills, deepening our collective knowledge and improving our ability to explain MRI findings to patients in clear, accessible language.
For many years, we have also offered a second-opinion service for patients who already have MRI scans. It is not uncommon for our team to identify important findings that may have been missed or under-reported elsewhere. By combining the expertise of Dr Butt with our in-house clinical specialists, we are able to deliver highly accurate diagnostic assessments that often change the course of a patient’s treatment pathway for the better.
Our clinical team is also actively engaged in education and training. We are frequently invited as guest lecturers at Queen Mary University, where we teach medical students about the practical interpretation of radiology and highlight the pitfalls of poor reporting. This academic involvement not only reinforces our expertise but also ensures that we stay at the forefront of imaging developments and maintain the highest professional standards.
The MRI scanner we work with is a state-of-the-art 3 Tesla (3T) system, the most powerful and detailed imaging technology currently available in routine clinical use. The superior resolution of 3T MRI provides exceptional image clarity, particularly in spinal and small-joint imaging, where subtle findings can make a significant difference to diagnosis and treatment planning. This advanced technology ensures that no detail is overlooked, whether for complex spinal issues, sports injuries, or joint pathology.
Whether you require a full referral and guided review of your imaging journey, from scan to report to treatment discussion or simply wish to access our second-opinion reporting service, The Injury Hub provides a complete, evidence-based approach to imaging. With direct access to world-class radiology expertise and the latest MRI technology, we are uniquely positioned to provide patients with accurate answers and the reassurance that their care is based on the very best diagnostic information available.
